We have heard about war heroes,
historical heroes, sport heroes, action star heroes and many others who are
idolized for their inspiring feats. Anyone could be a hero if he/she has
distinctive qualities like honestly, perseverance, courage and other noble
traits. We do not need the incredible strength of Captain Barbell, Superman or
even The Avengers. We need to be strong about what we believe is right or good
for everyone. You do not have to go to the battle field to make a last stand,
as an English proverb says, “ A hero is a man who is afraid to runaway.”
In reality, we have our own heroes in
life. For me, I considered my parent as my modern hero. I know that they don’t
have any super powers but they have the power of love which they always give on
us. They have done a remarkable deed. By simply working hard for us to live. To
live in a better home, wearing better clothes, eating better foods and sending
us to a better and secured school. My parent always sacrifice everything for
the benefits of our family. They never leave us alone and they always carry us
to the good path. I can’t explain the feeling of having a very loving and
caring parent. I am really thankful to God for having them.
All of us can be a hero. There are
simple ways; by showing good example, fighting for a cause, helping someone in
need, following government orders and other things that will improve our
neighborhood. According to Plato, “ A hero is born among hundred, a wise man is
found among thousands, but an accomplished one might not be found even among a
hundred thousand men.”
